From Vincent to Van Gogh (French Edition) Details
After the pink and white of the orchards and the yellow of the wheat fields, Vincent wants to appreciate "the effect of a blue sea and a blue sky" and decides to go to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer "to finally see the Mediterranean". The landscapes he crosses remind him of those of his childhood, of a "Holland without the dunes, and bluer". Once in Saintes-Maries, he settles in a small guesthouse and spends a pleasant week during which he completes three paintings and eleven drawings. A week in a life of a painter who enter into the world of color.
